Poseiden San Diego
Poseiden wants youth in lower socio-economic situations to have the chance to speak and interact with professionals who have had similar difficulties realizing their dreams. Having role models they can relate to inspire hope and determination to attain their own dreams. Many of these kids could never afford to go to larger competitions. The price of tickets, food and commuting to the event are outside their reach. Poseiden seeks to bring the professionals, clinics, contests and tours to them.
- Poseiden has partnered with San Diego County Office of Educations PASS (Promoting Achievement and Student Success) Program, a mentoring program that seeks to develop the leadership potential in at-risk youth through out San Diego County. Recently Poseiden utilized contacts with the California State Parks and Recreation, Carlsbad, to organize a surf trip for students in PASS.
- Future plans include skate clinics and contests in the streets where PASS students live. Poseiden builds confidence and health and fitness awareness.
